New unplanned (Darzi)
Health Centre in Oxfordshire
The Primary Care Trust has been instructed by Government to
provide a new surgery in Oxfordshire. This was not in any of
the PCTs plans for future development. As a consequence it
is going to consume the time of the PCT and resources from
our budgets. We do not support this unplanned expenditure.
We are working with the PCT to build new premises for
Jericho Health Centre to be housed on the Old Radcliffe
Hospital site. Other City Practices that were scheduled to
be involved in this programme and could not be fitted into
the scheme may have the opportunity to take part in a second
City Centre scheme which could also house other services to
provide care outside hospital. The Darzi centre conflicts
with these plans.
The Consortium plans an away day on Thursday 13th March
1-4pm to look at service redesign of the DVT pathway (Blood
clots in the legs).
